BABY BULLETIN: BB’s Baby Is Here!

BB’s baby has arrived! After 444 days, we’re delighted to announce the birth of our long-awaited Endangered reticulated giraffe calf.

Caring for Sumatran Orangutan Berani Through Kidney Disease

Our dedicated Animal Care and Veterinary Medicine teams are closely monitoring Berani’s kidney disease following his diagnosis in 2024.

Rocket and Slinky, our Asian small-clawed otters, just turned two years old! 🎉🎂 To celebrate, their care team treated them to some of their favorite enrichment: treat-filled kongs and an ice cake packed with fish! 🐟

Be sure to visit them in Village Hall to wish these playful cuties a fantastic birthday full of squeaks, splashes, and shenanigans!

Our animal care specialists have named them Khirni, Bilimbi, Chikoo, Jamun, and Karonda, after fruits native to India. The team also shared that they’re settling in well, enjoy cantaloupe and love sun baking under their habitat’s UV lights.

While they’re still getting comfortable in their new space, you can see them now in El Pomar Village Hall inside Toyota Elephant Passage on your next visit! 🦇
